Just returning from Rwanda. Still as beautiful as I remember from 28yrs ago - the country of 1000 hills. I was here for the Marburg response. As often happens health workers are critical to the response, but sadly most impacted. Wishing colleagues well as they continue to respond

Concerning to see increasing rates of malnutrition in S Sudan (hughlighted by @NickDyerFCDO), with increasing risks in Horn of Africa due to combined effect of conflict, climatic impact (likely 5th poor rainy season), food insecurity, economic crisis and legacy COVID-19 impact.
Two conclusions from meeting community health workers, cash transfer recipients, local partners, and seeing health outreach in Wajir 🇰🇪:.- building people’s resilience matters;.- it has its limits in the face of repeat shocks. Malnutrition rates are rising fast.
