Another amazing team-based session in the MAHI OR. The scenario of the day is oxygenator failure! . Team-based training should happen for many reasons but the top 2 for me are .(1) increase patient safety .(2) strengthen your OR team by working in a safe environment

Some days you have to test your personal limits. Training while being a cardiac surgery resident isn’t easy but we got it done and I’m so stoked and already can’t wait for the next one 🤩

Every 3rd Friday, our Heart Institute runs team-based simulations so that we can offer the best care for our patients. We have nursing, perfusion, anesthesia and surgery all involved.
