By now most Pollution Control Boards have become instruments of damage. I don't think they are in a position to 'punish' the polluters. Court should also consider how these Boards have been weakened in the name of 'Ease of Doing Business'.
The Court emphasised that restoration, not just punishment, is the key. It’s not about fines alone, but fixing the damage to ecosystems. Boards can now demand bank guarantees in advance to prevent harm. A major step toward proactive environmental governance.

GHMC and/or HYDRAA should declare a list of water collection areas and geotag them. this would help people in avoiding them in emergencies. Urban flood management system is nil in Hyderabad without public investment. Scientific knowledge & instrumentation is not applied at all.
