Me reading this announcement. Never been this excited for a tech-co, congrats to @amasad and the @replit team!
AI revolutionized building web apps, but not so much mobile... until today. In 2013, I joined Meta because I was excited about the potential for mobile and the internet to connect the world. I quickly found that building mobile, being a closed ecosystem, is much harder than

Is there a better option than this 10K machine to run the best models locally using LM Studio?

Vibe coding is a super power! I recently used Replit to create an internal that does data extraction, data preparation, and data exporting. The tool ingests 70 Docx files (contracts types), extrapolate services (name, description, prices…), and link them following the original

This is scary. But this isn't an AI coding issue. For fun, here's a short list of some notable "oops" - no vibes detected. Facebook user data scraping exposure (2021) LinkedIn user data scraping exposure (2021) Epik hosting and domain management platform breach due to poor

I was thinking that the current status of AI makes me question a lot of people intelligence. Probably the AGI bar is set too high, because honestly, I know people who repeat things like parrots and aren’t able to form their own thoughts (like Ai), and they are great executing

Paul Graham on why you shouldn’t write with AI: “In preindustrial times most people's jobs made them strong. Now if you want to be strong, you work out. So there are still strong people, but only those who choose to be. It will be the same with writing. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥

SaaS won because custom software was too expensive to justify. That constraint is disappearing. @Replit doesn’t remove complexity. It shifts it from writing code to understanding systems. Less coding. More thinking about how things work.

From generalist to “Super-unicorn”. Now is the time!
Because of LLMs, the only type of people I’d hire now are what I’d call “super-unicorns” - Developer - Designer (or great design taste) - Product-focused (vs feature-focused) - Marketer - Agent expert - High emotional intelligence - 5+ years experience creating web app products

@emersonsays Long before software, monarchs and moguls hired designers for beautiful, resplendent ornamentation. My latest theory is that this is a modern flex from highly profitable enterprises or companies cosplaying as them.

I am working on a tedious data-entry task, the tool the team is using is not ideal... so I brain-dumped all I needed on ChatGPT (it already had a lot of context) and asked for a mega-prompt... gave it to @Replit, Autonomy set on MAX. Time to test and see if it will save me hours!

Working on a new website for a service company in the legal space. Started figurative to get the meaning across fast. Ended up abstract to focus on processes, not industry symbols. Curious how others decide between figurative and abstract.

Ironically, we're building tools and systems to replace ourselves from the "work" equation, but we haven't figured out what will happen when that transition is complete. I am mostly worried about kids and the society they'll find.
