The end result is that the board has some wiggle and pivoting action while you're sitting at the bar so you can (kind of) feel like you're surfing while enjoying a Mai Tai 😀

We mounted 1.5" PVC pipe along the bottom of the surfboard. We then bent two 10' rebar pieces at 90 degrees that slide into the PVC so the surfboard can pivot around on the rebar. The bent ends of the rebar go into some support pieces below to hold the whole thing up.

Been one of those jack of all trade days. Carpentry, painting, electrical, weeding, irrigation. Thankfully none of the stinky side of plumbing (knock on wood). And later, hopefully finish up a fun project: custom surfboard footrest for a tiki bar.

The garage could also be converted to an ADU, but curious if using SB-684 to subdivide the lot instead would be possible.

Anyone done any SB-684 projects yet that involve removing a garage or other outbuilding? SB-684 states that ( under certain circumstances) you can not demolish or alter housing, but it is not clear if a beat-up garage would count as "housing".

We had a great time tonight at the Unity Council's 60th Anniversary party tonight. They have finished the Fruitvale Village development and we were able to tour some of the buildings. Amazing to see all that they have accomplished.
