Year 2 have been learning about using arrays to solve multiplication equations. We used counters and cubes to practically make arrays then draw them.

Year 2 have been learning about expressive and abstract art and used different materials (pen, oil pastel, pencil crayon) to experiment with colours.

Year 2 have been using coins and notes to make different amounts in maths this week. We tried to find the most efficient way using the least coins.

The Y1’s last week had a fantastic time at Millhouses Methodist Church taking part in their annual Christmas tree festival . This years theme was ‘looking for Jesus’. The children made decorations that represented the three gifts the wise men brought.

James Brunt, a local artist, inspired our children today by creating a collaborative piece of artwork using natural resources found in our forest school. Today made them realise that being an artist was a career option they’d never even thought of!
