Like yes, I understand. Emotions are high, and people are stressed. But I will no longer tolerate being the punching bag and scapegoat for your emotions when i’m the one trying to assist in your love one’s recovery.

One of the sole reasons I am SO burnt out after only 4 years (including my 1st year being the 1st wave of COVID) is not only from admin, but moreso from the families of pts. Growing more and more entitled. Either the nurse does too much, not enough, or everything in between.

I really wish consulting services would talk to the primary team instead of asking us as nurses to communicate between them, and all the rest of the services. I have too much to do than to be your middleman.
