I need a system to organise my tasks, but I am not a system person. I’ve looked at Trello, Notion, Clickup. My brain does not work like that. Is there a simple system where I can just list all my jobs, dates and tick them off in one place without it feeling like I’m running ICI?

I had suspicions a site that outranking me after HCU-pcalypse hadn't been to the places they're writing about. There's no first-person experience in them. I've just read a post I'm not longer in the top 100 for. It has this snappy line of 'Helpful Content' in the middle. Grrr...

Narai Juku is a pretty town between Nagano and Nagoya - but there's a few things you need to know if you're hoping to take a day trip here.

I made this new map for all the foreign tourists planning to visit Tokyo this summer, so they may have some idea of what they’re stepping into 😅

The fact that I got hit because I was above the parapet because a google human thought I was good enough, and now, my site is blacklisted makes me really really angry. Okay, rant over. I just needed to get it off my chest as I've spent enough time in tears over this. Onwards.

So, did I deserve the hit at that moment in time - possibly, but do I deserve to now have my site blacklisted for everything - No. I made this my full-time job in July. I'm lucky, I have savings, I can ride this out while I pivot but...

It didn't have a home page yet, because it had 50 posts! Was it perfect no, but I go back to the point, it was growing. It shouldn't really even have been on the radar of the big G for what it started ranking me for after that raterhub visit.

I was ranking for things I shouldn't have been ranking for - so, fair enough, demote me. But, my site was also still growing - it had 50 posts. It's on a country that didn't open it's borders until way later than everyone else. I hadn't had the chance to get back there.

Okay, I need to have one last rant on this and then I'm done. My name is Helen and I've been hit by the HCU. But, what makes me so angry about this is, my site was only doing as well as it was, because I had a rater hub visit which flicked some kind of switch (cont).

Our house last night watching something on TV. Him. ‘Oooh a ZX81’. Me: ‘That’s a Spectrum, ZX81 had a flat keyboard.’ I just outgeeked the geek. I have never been more proud of myself. Sadly basic was the end of my coding career but still.

As much as I love Japan, the baths in the hotels I usually stay in are tiny (and I’m not exactly tall). Todays hotel bath is obviously made for Western bodies. So I’m off for dinner then it’s time to wallow. Can’t wait. I’ve walked 80km since Wednesday.

Can anyone explain to me why I just ate a steak tartare taco which was absolutely amazing and I’ll eat beef carpaccio no problems, but I cannot eat a steak that’s actually cooked less than medium?

I’m an early trip packer. Everything I’m taking next week is on the case ready to go. But there is still washing to be done…. So, if the Sydney Rain Bomb could take, say 8 hours off between now and Sunday the people of Japan would probably thank you!

Me: Time to get serious about my newsletter. Writes this months one, and next months as I’ll be away. Schedule both a month apart…Or so I thought. Yep, not only did I spam my subscribers with two mails in half an hour, I now don’t have any more new content for next month. FML!
