The @RCRracing team testing at Daytona in early 1988. The car looks so different without the contingency decals on it, doesn’t it? No number in the roof either! 📸 @DickConwayPhoto

Pulaski County Raceway Park … I haven’t been here since 1992, when @DickConwayPhoto took pity on a young punk, wannabe reporter. I hung out with David Green, who spotted for @Bobby_Labonte that night. @JeffBurton got DQed and the win went to Bobby Dotter.

My friend @DickConwayPhoto is one of the greatest PR reps to ever step foot in a NASCAR garage, and he was also an incredibly talented photographer. His website https://t.co/JOLlgNUJhw is a wealth of stunning artwork available for sale and licensing. Check it out!

Another incredible race I attended in my early years. Field also included Vic Elford, Chaparral Cars, Swede Savage All American Racers, Sam Posey Dodge Challenger, Mark Donohue Penske AMC Javelin, Peter Revson AMC Javelin, Jim Hall Chaparral Cars Camaro. Donohue won that day.

Attended this race this day 50 years ago. In addition to the Lauda F1 debut, saw Stewart clinch the 1971 World Championship. Was on a hillside among a group of wild Italian fans. Memorable experience.
Superb startline shot: Siffert (BRM P160), Stewart (Tyrrell 003) & Regazzoni (Ferrari 312B2) at Österreichring #OnThisDay 50 years ago. Siffert took a surprise grand chelem victory - pole, fastest lap, leading from start to finish - & Lauda made his #F1 GP debut in a March 711.
