The CDC acknowledged this week that the risk of getting the coronavirus from surfaces is low. "There’s really no evidence that anyone has ever gotten Covid-19 by touching a contaminated surface," said an expert on airborne viruses.

💯 This pandemic highlights how much we rely on childcare workers, yet they aren’t adequately compensated as the essential first responders they are.

If you care about our economy, you should care about childcare. Fewer women are participating in the workforce now than anytime over the past thirty years—with many citing few childcare options during the pandemic. Just like roads, childcare is essential to get to work.

Incredible to see how the American Rescue Plan incorporates recommendations from @theNASEM‘s “Roadmap to Reducing Child Poverty” to support children and families 🤩

The #AmericanRescuePlan will reduce #childpoverty by over one half, largely thanks to the child tax credit expansion. The Plan will also reduce overall poverty in the US by almost one third. #pn3policy

During #COVID19, 1 in 5 Latino and Black households with children struggle to get enough food. The pandemic has magnified the racial/ethnic disparities in food insufficiency, employment, housing, and health care access. https://t.co/uoEsCMXSSB via @NRCHispanic

Feeling like I’m in a dysfunctional relationship with R. If my code isn’t working, I wish R would just straight up tell me what’s wrong so we can fix it ~together~. Instead I have to guess and decipher nonsense 🤦🏻‍♀️
