@SteveSimple It is a misnomer that someone isn't an economic node because they aren't an exchange or a miner. The collective userbase of bitcoin who use bitcoin with their own node are a powerful cohort.

Bitcoin is a simple buy and hold asset. This does not appeal to swindlers and grifters as it isn't profitable for them, so they seek to corrupt this model for their own gain. BIP-110 pushes back against these forces.
