3/. MCPs essentially take away the dev’s responsibility to update their agent’s code every time one of the tools gets updated. Instead, each company who builds a tool builds their tool to an MCP-standard. This lets each dev use their tool with no upkeep required.

2/. This upkeep to maintain your agent’s functionality means features don’t scale. Each new tool you integrate into your agent means an evermore increased amount of upkeep. Before MCPs, this upkeep treadmill kept small teams from thinking big on how creatively they can chain
