We may be getting into a "Ring of Fire" pattern next week. That's when rounds of storms ride along the edge of a hot and humid air mass, and it's a setup that can lead to severe weather. The exact position of that ridge remains uncertain, and therefore the timing of any storms.

After a shower or two tonight, this week starts off hot and dry. Tropical humidity returns Wednesday and gets rounds of storms going through Friday. Some may be strong with heavy rainfall possible. Then, a quick break Saturday before another muggy, active pattern arrives Sunday.

Less humid early this week, then Wednesday and Thursday may bring some of the highest humidity we've had so far this year.
