Big Life Update!
After 3 great years at AccuWeather where I’ve learned so much and grown as a person and meteorologist, I will be coming home to Toledo in September to join the 13abc weather team. I’m so excited for this opportunity to keep an eye on the sky for my hometown 😄

Today marks the 13th anniversary of the Lake Township Tornado. It touched down at 11:20pm east of I-80 and tore through Moline, then maxed out as it struck Millbury as an EF4 with winds of 175 mph. The tornado took 7 lives, left nearly 30 injured, and over $100 million in damage.

Arcadia in Hancock County reporting both the highest wind gust (68 mph) and lowest wind chill (-42°) in our viewing area so far today.

One decade ago, NW Ohio was facing some of the worst winter weather since the Blizzard of ‘78. There was already 10” of snow on the ground when the second storm arrived, followed by the most brutal cold I can remember. I’ll never forget how the fields looked more like Antarctica!
