The news about Hefin David is so desperately tragic. Hefin was always steadfast in his views, loyal to his roots, and he represented this area diligently. We were from different parties but worked together on many local issues. I will miss him. What a sad and dreadful loss.

I sang in the Proms last night 🎶 A wonderful experience to sing Mahler's Third Symphony with the BBC National Chorus of Wales and @BBCNOW. The soloist, @bethtaylormezzo, was superb. It always feels special to sing in the Royal Albert Hall. Profiad gwbl hudolus.

The lack of Eisteddfod coverage from the UK media astounds me every year. That the poignancy of yesterday's chairing ceremony has had no mention is particularly hard to fathom. It's a thrilling, heart-rendingly beautiful story: why ignore it? Is their gaze truly that shallow?.
