As shruti says- ओं नमो भगवते रुद्राय विष्णवे मृत्युर्मे पाहि [Salutations to rAghavasiMha, called रुद्र as he makes bhaktAs cry (in joy), who pervaded the pillar for prahlAda (विष्णवे), who is devoid of blemishes & with all kalyANa guNAs (भगवते). May he protect me from samsAra]

HOLY SHIT I CLEARED THIS MISSION! HARDEST THING I EVER DID! You can't just kill, you have to aim in the dark & take their spines while they are moving all the time. Gekko + 3 mastiffs & 4 dogs at the end were BRUTAL. 7.59.09 was my time (8 min target) https://t.co/p9rsdBiTMY

Here's the funny thing about MGR Revengeance - I just beat this boss without taking damage and instead of getting an S rank, I got an A. Why? Because I beat him too fast before he could even retaliate. So the game punishes me for being TOO GOOD.😭 https://t.co/MiKWhMii3m

IT: Welcome to Derry was very disappointing. Instead of focusing on the creepy murderous clown, it is a sermon on American race politics. Heck, there is even a scene right out of Sinners. Time and place for everything. This was not IT.

shAstrAs are very clear that sacrifices and praises of Hari even if done incorrectly, please him. Hence Nammazhwar says "thiNNan nAraName" - "Even if you mispronounced nArAyaNa as nAraNa, you will still get the full result"//

Same principle applies for sin due to incorrect performance and recitation of vedic sacrifices & mantras. This rule applies only for sacrifices & mantras presided by other gods. As they are upAsakAs and they prefer accuracy, their displeasure forces bhagavAn to punish mistakes+

As long as prahlAda didn't see his father as foe, Hari did nothing & just protected prahlAda. When prahlAdaprayed - "make my father stop committing sin, either by reforming him or removing him from his sinful body" - Hari tried the former, which didn't work & so did the latter+

Best example of this is narasimha avatAra. Hiranyakashipu was always opposing bhagavAn, but he incurred no karma and reigned gloriously as King. He was not punished even when he harassed prahlAda - because prahlAda did not see his father as a foe, rather only felt pity for him+

The answer is - bhagavAn is never displeased when anyone abuses him. There is no punishment in shAstra for viShNu dvesha. However, he only feels anger/displeasure when his devotees suffer. So if someone abuses him and his devotees feel hurt because of it, he gains pApa+

And he likes even inadvertant acts of non-devotees, to give them puNya. As everything is his body, naturally his likes and dislikes impact them, just as AtmA merely thinking causes the body to act//

After all, every sentient being by nature has likes and dislikes. bhagavAn is no different. But to avoid the accusations of cruelty/being cause of suffering, he only has dislikes for the ill-treatment of his devotees, not himself+

Hence, because he doesn't feel anger or displeasure due to selfish reasons (like him being abused), one cannot accuse him of causing suffering. His displeasure at the suffering of his devotees also cannot be called a doSha - it is selfless concern for others+

Here is a little bit of nuance regarding this. If we say puNya and pApa are due to his pleasure and displeasure, one can then accuse bhagavAn of being the cause of suffering, saying "it is because of your displeasure that pApa is gained, thereby pain and grief exist"+

Punya is what is pleasing for Sarveshvara, papa is what is displeasing for Him. The rules and regulations of Dharma laid out in shastras are His commands. All the discussions on Tattva (philosophical Truth) found in Vedānta speak of Him alone, who is the Self of all, who has all

bhIShmAchArya is not just pitAmaha for kauravas but for all vaidikAs by his upakAra of viShNu sahasranAma. Our AchAryAs also call him pitAmaha. The term is applied to AchAryAs too. In vairAgya panchakam, "पैतामहं धनम्" alludes to nAthamuni as pitAmaha besides brahmA.

Neither did Bhishma lament nor did his senses desert him. Calm, self-possessed, and mindful, that mighty warrior lay there, waiting for the ordained hour of his death.

आहंअप्यवतारेशुcan also refer to vyAsa or brahmA, the chief propagator and author of the tAmasa purANAs as well.

bhagavAn has only ever worshipped rudra as krishna. Other avatArAs never worshipped rudra and certainly not in every yuga. Hence, आहंअप्यवतारेशु refers to the rishis - authors/narrators of tAmasa purANAs who are also AveshAvatArAs of bhagavAn+

So he says, for deluding the tAmasIkAs, his aMShAs - the rishsi - will compose such works in every yuga, and such composition can be called as "worship". So, rudra received one boon for worship by sAttvikAs and one for worship by tAmasIkAs.//

The above is for sAttvikAs. Next, bhagavAn says: आहंअप्यवतारेशु त्वां च रुद्र महाबल ।तामसाम् मोहनार्थं पूजयामि युगे युगे॥ Gist: In all my "avatArAs", I will worship you in every yuga for deluding the tAmasIkAs. This is a second boon. Now note something here+
