✨ The Cave Nebula (Sh2-155).Captured over 21 hours of exposure time (and still adding more!), this cosmic cloud lies about 2,400 light-years away in Cepheus. Its dark dust lanes and glowing gas create the illusion of a celestial cave, where new stars are born. #astrophotography

Love this concept.
Back in February I took a series of 'star squiggles' photos, where I did 3.2sec exposure while wobbling the tripod to capture scintillation in the trails and the general star colour. I included Mars and Jupiter to show that planets do not scintillate.

The squish decided to take a rare nap, so I sketched for an hour. I came across a beautiful sketch by Mary McIntyre of Ptolemaeus, Alphonsus, and Arzachel and felt inspired. At first, I wasn't happy, but I reminded myself to trust the process. I think it turned out okay 🌙✨
