I wish people understood how law works and how a court considers and determines the issues before it in court cases. Each side leads evidence to show that the other one is a racist and if they're both racists then the judge tosses a coin. It's really quite straightforward.

Scotland *might* have been able to gain independence by incremental stealth, like New Zealand, were it an antipodean country too far away and too much trouble to justify the effort. Otherwise, not really.
