This is an excerpt from my NICU journal. It started as a letter to my children on their first day in this world and grew to much more. So much more that I am planning on publishing it when I am don…

The Nats position isn't great but spending money just to spend money isn't a solution. At 1B the Nats have a bunch of late model used cars and a potential new car with a low ceiling. Going out and spending $30K on a 1998 Jetta with 200K miles doesn't solve the problem.

I don't understand modern baseball discourse. It's overly focused on payroll. I see people complaining that the Nats missed out on a career .743 OPS 31 year old 1B. The Nats had a similar player last year. No one was happy.

Virginia Tech has played poorly this year but the refs haven't been kind to them either

The Nats should interview Mark Teixeira and Prince Fielder to be the manager for old times sake.

VT needs a more forward thinking coach. Running on 3-24 to set up the punt is loser mentality.

Imagine it's 2009 and the Nats take an unheralded high schooler out of New Jersey with the number one pick instead of Stephen Strasburg.

The number one pick is 99% Ethan Holliday. Everything else is smoke.

The Nats subreddit has devolved terribly due to their June swoon.

Is this going to be a consistent line-up?

I don't know why, "Rizzo had a good run with the Nats. I'm sad to see it end, but am excited for the future." Is such a hot take

What did the Nationals do to this man?
Firing Mike Rizzo and Dave Martinez makes some sense for the Nationals, but the timing doesn’t. Column: https://t.co/AEphVt2Wq8
