The Long Lake wildfire is now under control. It's a key milestone in any wildfire. Under control means the fire is responding well to suppression efforts. It is not expected to grow, but it is still not extinguished. Having reached this milestone, this is our last regular update.

The Long Lakes wildfires complex is still out of control. New estimated size is 8465 hectares based on more precise measurement. No new reports of damage. Favourable weather is helping crews make good progress, but they have not yet completed a line around the entire fire zone.
