God, I miss the days of the made for tv movie. They couldn't be explicit with their violence or gore, so they had to make up the entertainment in other ways. Most had weird tones or soap opera-esque story beats. Some were just really well written like Duel. Some favourites -

I honestly feel THE DEVIL'S REJECTS is the most brilliant examination of our cultural attraction to serial killers that has ever been made. Rob Zombie makes you sad about the demise of three absolute monsters and leaves you wondering WHY. 20 years later, I still think about that.
