It has barely made headlines, but since the pandemic began, this tiny Islamic school in Delaware has served 1.3+ million meals to needy children. Yes, million. It's more than Delaware's largest school district. They serve 5,000+ meals per day, to any child who is hungry.

Just thinking about the NZ whanau who had a lovely family holiday and supported local businesses - tourism, restaurants etc. A beautiful family weekend away with an unforeseen tragic spiralling effect. Feel so sad for them, I hope they understand they are not to blame.

@ausmazehanat The ugliness we see online, the ‘othering’ of those who disagree with us or our religion or politics, shows that this could happen again.

@ausmazehanat has written an incredible book that depicts the impact of the #SrebrenicaMassacre on those who survived.

#Srebrenica Today, we remember those who perished 25 years ago and we stand with those who survived. We stand with them for truth, for justice, and for peace. Salaam Alaykum @TheICMP

Somehow Srebrenica feels particularly horrifying, I think because it happened in my lifetime. 8000 Muslim men and boys massacred. A campaign of genocide to wipe them from their lands. Tens of thousands of women raped - some kept in rape camps, others forced into brothels.
