NEW paper from our lab revealing how induction of senescence in murine liver leads to extrahepatic senescence and organ failure in multiple other organs! TGFbeta signalling might be one of the key culprits. Really cool work check it out!.
Exciting new research from Prof Tom Bird's group and collaborators has shown that the senescence of liver cells induces multi-organ senescence and dysfunction and identifies the TGFβ pathway as a critical mediator of this spread.

And a big thank you to the two amazing Keynote speakers at @YicsaC Cambridge, @MekaylaStorer who shared her research on limb regeneration and @HanLi_Pasteur who talked to us about cellular plasticity and it's implications in the context of #senescence and #cancer !.

Very much agree! Some really cool ways to make journal clubs more engaging and valuable. Some of which we have come to implement ourselves within the Graduate Society at CRUK_CI.
Nobody likes journal clubs that are just a march through the figures of a paper that most haven’t read. But there are many better ways to engage with the literature in lab groups or classrooms! Add your own examples below.
