Even worse is when you ask for help, and people say that they will, and then don't follow through on their commitment. All it teaches me is not to ask again.

if you are high masking autistic person and you express your needs, people just think you are being controlling or difficult. when in reality you are attempting to bravely advocate for yourself and let your needs be known, quite possibly for the first time ever as an adult.

It’s not “ableist” to expect writers to write their own books. It’s the only way you will ever master your craft, the only way you’ll write something that anyone cares to read. AI can string words together but can’t touch the depths of human experience. Only you can do that.
