Tonight my grandmother & I sang together down the phone. She was confused & upset. She called thinking I was my grandad to tell him she loved him. He died 18 years ago. After we sang “somewhere over the rainbow” she calmed & laughed. Dementia is cruel but I’m glad we laughed.
