I think the Leafs should let Matthews get 100% healthy, sell off as much as they can, & give ice time to guys like Cowan, Quillan, Villeneuve, etc Tank hard enough to pick in the top 5, then dangle the draft picks you get from the sell off for young NHL ready talent for a retool

These are just the guys that would fetch good returns. If you can find deals for Joshua, Domi & Jarnkrok, then trade them. However, I’m not interested in doing what NYR did with Trouba & Kreider when it comes to Rielly. They have enough cap space. They’d need assets back

The Leafs need to stop forcing Simon Benoit. He was horrible last season and worse this year. They have a lot of problems and an unplayable 3RD pair is an easier one they should be able to fix. He is playing in a defensive role that he is not capable of handling right now.
