Today, I attended the meeting with H.E. @qubadjt and U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Michael Regas at the opening of the largest American Consulate in the world: a historic milestone that strengthens U.S.–KRI relations & reaffirms our shared commitment to cooperation & prosperity.

Delphi Economic Forum 2025

Had a productive first meeting with Dutch Consul General, Adriaan IJsselstein @nlinkri, discussing ways to strengthen economic ties. We explored opportunities to expand trade, foster investment, and deepen cooperation between the Netherlands and the Kurdistan Region.

I had a productive exchange with Ambassador Jorgen Lindstrom, Swedish Chargé d’Affaires, on strengthening ties between #Kurdistan and Sweden, the Kurdish diaspora’s role in #Sweden, the embassy’s engagement with the #KRG, and key regional developments.

A constructive discussion with German CG, Mr. Albrecht von Wittke, on critical political and economic matters. We addressed the formation of the new #KRG government, budget negotiations with Baghdad, oil exports, as well as #Germany’s elections and their broader implications.

Today, I met with Mr. Arakawa Mikihiro, Consul of #Japan in Erbil, to bid him farewell and discuss strengthening ties. I thanked him for his efforts in enhancing Japan’s support to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region through #JICA and reaffirmed our commitment to continued cooperation.

A pleasure to meet with Kim Seokberm, Rep. of KOICA Erbil, as he concludes his tenure. I thanked him for his dedication & KOICA’s invaluable contributions to education, healthcare, digital gov. and vocational training in KRI. Wishing him continued success in his future endeavors
