I assume this means they're swapping old the old meters for new ones, but I'm not sure what opportunities this will present. Never seen a router/collector in the neighborhood, so not sure how the current network even works.

The cool thing about this (to me) is that I engineered this, rather than just guessing if it would work. I actually used Euler's column formula to see if the threaded rod would buckle!

The solar array on top of this trailer weighs like 170 pounds, and I couldn't lift it safely. So I built a screw jack out of electrical conduit and a big Acme threaded rod, and now I can deploy the array safely from the ground.

Well, UPS tried to be helpful, but somehow they the threaded rod in transit. @McMasterCarr stepped right up though and overnighted a replacement after crediting my account. Now I have all the parts, but no time 😪
