This has been a big week for the Biden Administration and Democrats in Congress. First, Congress is on track to pass a bipartisan bill that will lower the cost of everything from cars to consumer goods, and make us less dependent on foreign semiconductors.
@DAvallone
correct me if i'm wrong, but none of these things have officially passed yet, right? there's definitely an argument to be made that the media could cover the progress better, but they're not really "successes" yet, right? sinema (or someone else) could still f it all up?
@msmacb
Because the media never reports on things in progress?
I mean literally most of what I’ve heard about this deal isn’t what’s in it but YOUR OWN DEFAULT: Sinema could kill it.
You ever think that reporting on what’s in the bill could pressure Sinema to support it?

@chrislongview
Therefore “WE” need to do the job of the media. At the very least, we should tweet one of President Biden’s success per day. ( of course, more tweets would be great, but let’s start with one each per day).

Honestly, since Reagan uttered the words “left wing media” the refs have been working themselves. They’ve been giving more time to lies than the truth ever since.
There’s no Dem equivalent to the vast network of propaganda outlets that the Rightwing has. While CNN, MSNBC, NPR, WAPO, NYT, ect report on stories that are negative to R’s, they’re also, (sometimes excessively so) adversarial to D’s.
@DAvallone
Even the liberal cable networks last night had more Trump stuff as the top headline, despite the breakthrough legislative week w/ Manchin announcement just hours earlier.
