@Brad_Nguyen_ Keep adding in unknowns until the kid makes 3 mistakes while rehearsing any fact. Mistakes could be on the new fact, the fact, the just learned, or even the knowns. If they don't say it correctly within 2 or 3 seconds, it is an error. 3 errors, stop.

This year's royalties for The Art and Science of Teaching Primary Reading have arrived. As promised, this money has been donated to Malaria Consortium. This brings the running total donated (with Gift Aid) to a little above £50,000 in three years. >>

@tetheredtoed1 @mrdaverobbo @rastokke One thing I failed to mention on the podcast. With the school we intervened with the state math test score was at the 35th percentile before the intervention. After 4 years of 4 min/day timed practice, they were at the 80th percentile. Insane growth per instructional minute.
