To all those who are complaining about the Kyle Tucker trade and don't know why Jed Hoyer would do this: The #Cubs haven't won a playoff game since 2017. That's the only reason needed.

The vibes are special tonight. Even for the Federal Landmark.
Wrigley Field is next level tonight. I don't think a single fan ever sat down in the bottom of the 1st inning, and 40K people all chanting "FREDDY! FREDDY!" at once.

MLB should really have a second broadcast option where you can watch the game with the local crew on the call. It's absurd that fans go through an entire season with the local folks then are saddled with a national crew with zero insight on the teams they're calling.

It kind of feels like it should be a bigger story that with Elías Díaz out, Freddy Fermin (who was not even with the team in Spring Training), is catching Nick Pivetta for the first time ever. 181.1 of Pivetta's 181.2 innings this year have been with Díaz behind the plate.
