We are calling for Wildstone to take Turbo Island out of next week’s auction, to give us time to raise funds from the community. Turbo Island is vital part of Stokes Croft, and should be owned by the community.

But the owners have rejected our plea for more time to launch a share offer, as we did for the PRSC building, or raise funds from the community. So we will have to do everything we can to raise the funding to buy Turbo Island at auction.

The auction listing proposes the construction of a new, five-storey building on the site. Turbo Island is the heart of Stokes Croft. The Stokes Croft community overwhelmingly wants Turbo Island not to be lost to commercial development and gentrification.
