NZX update today on NZME:.- right-ward raider Jim Grenon has come up significantly short in final board washout. - Grenon won’t get his demanded chairmanship .- gets 1 sole director, him, not 5.- 3/5 of old board stay.- that board’s choice to be chair.

As many of you know, I’m one of Jim Grenon’s nominees to form part of a refreshed NZME Board. Since our nominations became public on March 6, much of the media commentary has focused on speculation around Jim’s motivations and intentions for the company, and in particular, what.

Crossing signals are currently not working at the main truck line crossing at Wairakei Road Christchurch. Cars have been driving around the barriers and then the barriers were raised by members of the public to let a bus cross (and then cars). Needs sorting asap

The sinking of the Manawanui comes only a few months after HMNZS Te Kaka (TEK) collided with a jetty at the Defence Armament Depot at Kauri Point (DADKP) on 16 May. The Fleet Navigating Officer’s initial incident report issued on 21 May makes interesting reading. The report

It’s difficult to know exactly why the Wellington Mayor sold her car, but in any event Whanau does have the use of a Hyundai Ioniq mayoral car as confirmed in an OIA made last year. Oddly, the OIA sets out the running costs of the mayoral car for the year ended June 2023 as

Fascinating to see the streaming numbers from yesterday’s US presidential debate with TV, newspapers and individual streamers competing for audience. In NZ, TVNZ, the Herald and RNZ (as well as X) all streamed the debate. Let me know how you watched … interested in the results
