Comet Lemmon is brightening and moving into morning northern skies. Besides Comet SWAN25B and Comet ATLAS, Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) is now the third comet currently visible with binoculars and on long camera exposures. Comet Lemmon was discovered early this year and is still

Saturn on September 30th. Variable seeing with occasional good moments. A diffuse white spot is visible in the southern hemisphere. The rings continue to narrow toward their November minimum when they'll be less than a degree tilted toward us.

Keep an eye on the night sky in Octoberโyou might catch a falling star! The Orionid meteor shower reaches its peak on the night of Oct. 21-22, and the Draconids will also be visible earlier in the month. Check out what else to watch out for:

Jupiter on September 30th. Good seeing. Some interesting details across the disk. Oval BA at lower left remains quite faded though its orange colour has returned somewhat. The STB has revived to a degree not seen in many decades.

Jupiter on September 29th. Very poor seeing overall with only a handful of usable captures. Later it became even worse and impossible to take anything worthwhile. Interestingly, it shows exactly the same hemisphere as captured back on the 24th!

Partial Lunar Eclipse visible as the Moon rises at 8:08pm in Galway this evening. Hopefully, we will get some breaks in the clouds. Rain forecast later, but we may get a break around that time. Good luck, everyone. ๐

Saturn on August 22nd. Poor to fair seeing. I was surprised the result turned out better than expected. Little of note across the planet. A nice grouping of moons is seen at the left side.
