@EnglandAthletic @MillomSchool @SL_Consult @parkrunUK How is this going to boost performance sport/training? Do parkrunners really need an all-weather surface? What’s wrong with existing pavements and footpaths? Why replace grass with rubber? Also not floodlit so not much use in winter?

@EnglandAthletic @MillomSchool @SL_Consult @parkrunUK That looks nice but would be better with floodlights and surely not at the expense of proper tracks and waterjumps, jump pits etc - I hope EA aren’t saying this is the future of athletics

When is a track not a track? Are these unlit jogging trails a good idea? When did the focus shift so completely away from performance to mass participation? Worrying….
How great is this new facility at @MillomSchool in Cumbria? Despite limited space for a standard oval 400m facility, @SL_Consult have designed a straight track and trail jogging route for students, the local community and @parkrunUK to enjoy running and walking around!

Just read the @LondonMarathon update email. It ain't going to work guys - you're essential asking 40,000 people to run with their mobile phones. Will definitely be needed up to/morning of the race, and afterwards - not practical #LondonMarathon

Absolutely heartbroken 💔 finding it hard to believe this is even real. Hoping I wake up tomorrow and this is all a horrible dream 😔
Unfortunately, @morgan_a_lake has had to withdraw from the women’s high jump final. Lake sustained a foot injury during a successful qualification round where she jumped a seasons best 1.95m to automatically qualify for the final. Wishing Morgan a speedy recovery. #TeamGB
