With former President Trump claiming at the @EconClubNY that his proposed #tariffs "will combat inflation," it's a good time to point out that tariffs raise prices, harm working families and undermine America's national and economic security.

The letter notes some EU digital policies "almost exclusively target American companies. while giving homegrown European rivals a leg up. Some of these policies also provide opportunities for Chinese, Russian, and other foreign-owned firms to increase market share in Europe.".

This letter demonstrates the violent bipartisan agreement around the importance of U.S. global leadership on digital trade policy. If the U.S. Government doesn’t lead on writing the rules of the global digital economy, we invite discrimination against all American businesses.
