If you as a business owner can't afford to pay your employees enough to support themselves in this society, you shouldn't have employees. Your business doesn't make enough to have them. If you WON'T pay them enough to support themselves, you are part of the problem.

Imagine if the word "minimum" in minimum wage meant the minimum required to live and not the minimum an employer is allowed to legally pay you. They should be the same thing.

Imagine living in a society where individuals at the bottom of the pay scale are pitted against each other in an argument over who deserves to make enough to eat, have a place to live, and afford any semblance of healthcare.
