This is not a joke. Today I was arrested by SFPD. The crime? Standing on Valencia Street. How did this happen? Let me tell you… 1/

During Pride Month, Juneteenth, and now during the wake of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade, more corporations are speaking out than ever. But should they? I argue many should be quieter. https://t.co/XmDNUqNJv1

Um...Screw this driver who didn't even get out of his car to check on this kid and his bike. Don't want you to be late for your meeting, sir.
Today a child biking at corner of Skillman & St Pauls was hit by a speeding car attempting to avoid the light at St Pauls & Kennedy. A split second difference could have led to worse. This is an emergency & @JerseyCity needs to treat it as such. @StevenFulop @mjmanzella225 🚨

If this was about babies, there would be universal healthcare. Free education. Free daycare. Southern states would be doing all they can to drop the Black maternal mortality rate. This is about power and control

Great point. Culture is important, but so is a sustainable business model. To attract and retain the best employees, both are necessary.
Unfortunately, you can't "wish away" the fact that if your company isn't cash flow positive & capital is now expensive, you are living on borrowed time. "Culture" won't matter if your company isn't around. Sorry to say it, but these realities are ... realities. Hard to swallow.

You need some rest, even despite (or rather, because of) *gestures everywhere*. Grateful to @Sarcasticluther for the inspiration. https://t.co/kp0w0lefFH

Flexposts better than nothing but that approach is oriented around something that *won’t really hurt cars* if they run over them. Every time I see a decapitated flexpost in a bike lane or bulb out, I pray no one died.

🔥🔥🔥“Another reason we don’t see work environments scrutinized over burnout is that the United States, in particular, has tended to have a long history of worker exploitation. It is no mystery why a country, whose historical workforce…” — @DoctorJustin

We need to address the systemic and cultural dimensions of burnout

That's a really good point. I was pleasantly surprised when they added this barrier for sidewalk access during construction and it does seem like a missed opportunity for protected bike lane as well. @movesafedurham Do you know if this was considered?

Flexner went on to be the first director of the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research (now Rockefeller University) and contributed important research into polio and treatments for meningitis. And why? Because of curiosity and a dose of luck. 5/6
