Currently we are facing the fact that parents are more than ever cautious to let their daughters go out and play. These restrictions have impacted girls more than any other group. @Naz_Foundation @FundacionLaLiga @FVICENTEFERRER @ProSportDev @slumsoccer

An important aspect would be to recognize & understand what impact the pandemic has had on women & girls, then (re)design & (re)start programs to address issues that the pandemic might have exacerbated

COVID-19 has disrupted the implementation of our programmes. It has been a setback in terms of girls' right to education, safety etc. Girls have also least access to digital devises so engaging with them online has been very difficult. @Naz_Foundation @ProSportDev @slumsoccer

We also need to realize that in order for girls to be able to access those equal opportunities we need to take an extra step to enable them to seize those opportunities. That is the case in sport and beyond sport.

Absolutely true @frnadal. There is no better way to challenge this than girls playing sport and showing their ability and confidence.

@ASA_RDT @abhijeetbarse @CockyvanDam @ProSportDev @gnwLisa @slumsoccer @Naz_Foundation @FVICENTEFERRER @SuheilTandon The main challenge is to face cultural beliefs and traditions regarding the role of girls and women. During these years, we have intervened where there is no support to continue playing sport/tennis when they are already young or adolescent #EqualPlay #Sportimpact #Sportpeople

Sport takes place in public spaces and challenges gender norms there and then. It a is very powerfull tool. It can lead to immediate changes in attitudes which can trigger other positive changes. #FootballPeople #EqualPay @Naz_Foundation

Gender stereotypes and the attitudes of people about what girls can and can't do are the main challenges. Girls are not encouraged to access their rights and fulfill their potential. #FootballPeople #EqualPay @Naz_Foundation
