I don't use this platform anymore. Sometimes, change is not good.

Our following has grown over the last year, and so we wanted to reshare one of our most important posts about language. We need to stop using the word "committed" when talking about suicide. Share this post to help us bring more awareness to this topic and create the change.

Interesting way to handle micro-agressions. I like it. But I guess it only works if the person who it is reflected back at, understands your response.
Common advice for handling micro-agressions is to speak up. This is important advice that should be the first port of call. But, it is not always safe to do so. There are occasions where you might find yourself or your career in jeopardy if you.

👏👏 @CharlieGowans I still find it odd that being/choosing to be childfree is a big issue for some. When asked why I didn't have children or do I regret it, I just want to reply "how often have you regretted having your kids?"

Loneliness is a killer. An honest article on suggestions of how to start making friends as an adult and tips on how to make conversation. #loneliness #lifecoach
Very pleased to have been able to write this, in the week that (coincidentally) I got to enjoy some pints and a curry with two of my oldest, dearest pals.

It's time to stop using the word "committed" when discussing suicide. The word carries negative connotations and is associated with a crime. By changing our language, we can have better conversations and lead with kindness for those who are bereaved by suicide. Keep talking x

So many of us say we want balance, but we aren’t extreme enough in our devotion to this ideal. We lean too heavily or for too long on one dimension or another. @A_WittenbergCox asks: How do you put balance into practice? https://t.co/B85X4mdYTG

Excellent article written by @gabyhinsliff about women and their anger & rage. Not a puff piece in the slightest. The topics she talks about - all relatable to you and I (if you are a woman!!) And I've already been in touch with https://t.co/rYL15azIzV

Once upon a time, women showing their anger was frowned upon. But the gender anger gap is widening, and women’s wrath is on the rise, about everything from police brutality to domestic inequality

Death and dying. Some cultures know how to talk, react, emote about this subject. My experience is that most British people shy away from talking about death. This is beautifully written and will encourage you to enjoy the small things in life. #death

One of the most important things to remember when having conversations about your grief is that you are in control. Here are some examples of how to gain control when you want to talk about your loss or if you don't want to engage in a conversation like this.
