Doing the right thing isn’t always the easiest path - but it always pays off in the end. Even if it’s years until the reward comes. When you’re in those gray areas, you have to trust your gut. Make the choice to do the right thing even if it’s difficult at the current time.

Good baseball coaches & organizations recognize an athlete’s projection… Bad coaches & orgs wait until the athlete “meets their program’s expectations” before they totally buy in… As an athlete, recognize the coaches who are buying into you early on during your progression.

Everyone loves the idea of accountability until they are held accountable. Everyone loves the idea of feedback until they are given feedback they don’t agree with. If you are about getting better, you have to embrace the uncomfortable moments.

The hardest part of coaching? Players always focus on the negative. “I have to fix my elbow” “I need more bat speed" “My timing isn't very good” Remind them: - Your bat speed is improving - Your direction is better - Your timing is sharper Build belief along with adjustments.
