Absolutely true. Our job as coaches and parents is to correct course. .
Kids don’t love sports anymore. Not like they used to. They are being conditioned to love what they think comes with sports. Recognition, clout, recruiting rankings, swag, NIL, etc. This is why most kids are leaving sport with far more drawn from their cup than filled.
