The best feeling in coaching is connection! When a player is so bought in to what you’re teaching that it shows immediately in their actions. You don’t have that w/out this kind of “In the moment” focus! .JR spotlight! @JacksonC123108 One of the best kids & athletes @ HHS! 🏈🏀

As we end our summer I can’t help but remind our guys that the work wasn’t mandatory, but neither is success. Super excited to get back to school and gear up for 🏈 as we get closer to 🏀🏀🏀 season every day!

Drove through Metamora today & was so impressed by their sense of pride for their school sports teams. @MetamoraBBB @MTHSFootball Huge signs in front of businesses & yards throughout the town. It’s no wonder programs like this are so successful when you see that kind of pride! 👏.

It’s wild… we have kids that are still in the weight room & getting up shots every week AND enjoying their summer! Really wish everyone could see that managing their time & expectations for US next season are not only possible but also necessary to succeed in a TOUGH conference!.

We all focus on being resentful or upset about what we want, but don’t have… but how often do you think about how grateful you are for some of the things that you are blessed not to have? . Sometimes what you desire isn’t what’s best for you & sometimes waiting is necessary.

I’ve always reminded our guys that “it’s not power… it’s perspective” when we make corrections & hold them accountable. Our top players have been sidelined w/ injuries all June & they’ve all come to better understand that statement while helping me to coach our guys! #Always_US!.
