When anyone 💩 on D3, it’s because they’ve never played/coached at the college level. They have NO clue how good you have to be to play at that level. So know the D3 offer you got is a little more impressive than Joe in his basement thinks😉 #WeAreD3

Turning down D2, D3 and NAIA opportunities when you have 0 opportunities make no sense to me. You staying home instead of playing bc you didn’t go D1 is something I just can’t support. I’ll never advocate for that. Love who loves you and go play!

If you TRULY want to play at the next level and are OPEN to ALL opportunities then there may be a place for you. It likely won’t be playing on ESPN or in front of 1000s every game but that’s not what it’s about.

That D3 Head Coach today may be a D1 lead recruiter tomorrow That JUCO AC may be a D2 Head Coach next year That NAIA Head Coach today may be a D1 Head Coach in two seasons Don’t burn bridges and make sure you take time to show respect to any coach that recruits you. It will

Relationships with Coaches matter that D3 Coach your ignoring could be a D1 assistant or a D2 assistant soon. Be careful who you brush off or make a bad impression on. Coaches know other Coaches💯

D3 financial aid advantages👇 - Clear standards to renew $ each year - $ not tied to athletics & your health - D1 schollys are not always a full ride It may take a bit of research to understand your options, but don’t rule out D3 just bc it doesn’t have athletic scholarship

Recruits need that one official offer w/that one program/coach that believes in you and it’s a perfect fit.

Recruits: THERE IS NO PERFECT SCHOOL OR SITUATION! Fit is important but there will never be a perfect fit. Something will be sacrificed. Location. Playing time. Relationships. Time with family. Social aspects. Something will not be perfect and not fit. You have to make it work.

Don’t ghost coaches that reach out to recruit you Here’s why 👇 Coaches talk to other coaches & often suggest players On a webinar last night we asked two D3 Coaches (@_BrysonGibson & @joshmerkel4) if they had ever done this. “More times than we can count”

D3’s do not have athletic scholarships But that doesn’t mean going to a D3 has to be expensive We’re building resources to help students navigate their way to an affordable education Let us know what you think 👇 https://t.co/QZaCmWcUCI

Coaches are busy (and human) Things come up, they miss emails, and most D3’s don’t have large recruiting budgets to begin with If you are not proactive, they will assume you aren’t interested and move on Be proactive in your process

The D1 Transfer Portal opens March 24 and closes April 22. Coaches will focus on transfers first before turning to HS players. HS players, stay patient and open-minded—there will be a lot of movement and uncertainty in rosters over next few months.

If I am ever blessed enough to be a Head Varsity Coach again, I think I will show this at both the parent meeting and a players only meeting and ask two questions: 1.) What’s the first thing you notice in this clip? 2.) Should she be allowed to go back into the game? NO!

🏀PLAYERS: PLAYERS it doesn’t matter what program/coach/team you play for to a certain degree, it’s more about the hard work, dedication, & ❤️ you have for the game/your craft. Nobody can make you something you ain’t & you can’t be a player you didn’t work to be. 💭 ABOUT THAT

Before you contact a Coach: 1. Research their school 2. Look up prev. 3 yr W/L records 3. Find out their style of play 4. Come up w/ a list of ?'s 5. Brainstorm Majors you'd like 6. Start applying to the school 7. See what jobs their grads have What'd we miss?
