Our best teams were player driven. I can remember when we had players do 10 quick pushups if they dropped a pass or a potential interception in practice. One night a player dropped an interception in a game and went straight to pushups. Official on sideline realized what had

The best coaches can understand their own team and know when they are mismatched. These guys will shorten the game, bend but don’t break and play great on special teams. This puts pressure on the opposing play caller to have to call a near perfect game. In high school we might

After watching Auburn huddle the entire second half I am convinced someone -maybe Oklahoma - stole their signals and shared the info with the other opponents. Arkansas was only right one time with their blitz package.

In 2004 I was verbally assaulted by a fan after a game we won. Turns out we didn’t cover the spread in a high school football game. Heck I didn’t even realize there was one. 😂

I told my family a few weeks ago I wondered if Auburns signs had been stolen. Yes the play caller is communicating with the QB but wideouts are getting hand signals from the sideline. Even if it is just figuring out run or pass. Most signals are very simple especially when going
Lane Kiffin says one of the reasons the Oklahoma's defense is so good is because the #Sooners film and study their opponents play signals... @NEWS9 @NewsOn6 #OUFootball

My Dad once asked me "are you tough enough to do this?" Sucked up my guts and moved forward.

As a coach there were a few years where I felt like we had to call a perfect game on offense. Just didn’t have players who would take a 5 yard reception and turn in into 65 etc. Found that you could execute maybe 2 drives of 10 plays or more per game. Auburn seems to be that

Anyone who played or coached at @TheDWarriors from 2004-2017 will recognize almost every play Vandy runs on offense. 💪🏈

Sitting on my couch watching @UTV44_WJTC game of the week. @halfadrink and Dan Brennan on the call. Reminds me of a meeting with our superintendent in spring of 2017. Me and Susan wanted to visit about the future of football in the county. I was asked where I thought it was
