100% agree with this & that is why we constantly do SSG's to help with "decision making" and putting them in game like scenarios. They may even miss the shot in the end, but I am more worried if they made the correct decision to even take the shot (vs attack, pass, etc . ).
Morning coach thought:. Plays (Sets) create Scenarios. Scenarios create Options. Options lead to Player Decisions. Player Decisions make Plays (positive/negative). Your sets are meaningless if players aren’t getting experience making decisions.

I get the why, but it seems over the top. Regardless, just get parents of your team to sign a waiver of approval and you can continue to communicate as previously done. It’s just an extra step.

Not trying to be bias, but Ava Gish @ava_gish_ should be on this list!. 663 average (4th in state).61 hits (5th in state).50 RBI (19th in state). What more can she do? If you’ve seen her, you know she is a top player not only in the region but the state. Crazy!.
