College basketball got to meet Reed Sheppard on Tuesday. They already know his dad, Jeff. It’s time they met his mother, Stacey.
"What was it like watching her? Watching a 5’7” Reed Sheppard out there is what it was like.”
This is Stacey's story.
John Calipari just said on his radio show that after getting back from Nashville and learning the NCAA Tournament was canceled, the team played one final game of pickup and sat down and cried together.
I CAN’T HANDLE THIS RIGHT NOW.
Kash Daniel on if he feels sorry for Mississippi State's left tackles: "I didn't feel sorry for any of them. I hope they're all crying. I hope they're all slobbering. I hope their girlfriends broke up with them."

Mitch Barnhart says that Mark Pope has already had conversations with two players he couldn't get to come to BYU who said they'll come to Kentucky.
"It's about the name on the front of the jersey."
I lost my dad on Thursday. He's been suffering from Lewy Body Dementia for several years now, and we are grateful the final chapter was fast and he was not in pain.
I feel as though I've been mourning him for a very long time, but nothing prepares you for this. I love you, Dad.
TyTy Washington: "I think the fans love us not only because of the way we play basketball but how we share it with each other. We’re all brothers here. We care for each other. We don’t care who has the most points. We just want to win."
PJ Washington’s evolution shows the value of coming back for a second year. Hopefully it ends the narrative that if you’re not a one-and-done at Kentucky, you’re a failure.
Terrence Clarke passed away today after a car accident in California. The former Wildcat was only 19 years old.
Our heart breaks for the Clarke’s family, friends, and the Kentucky Basketball program.
Life is so, so short.
I remember how upset Tyler Herro was when he wasn’t named a McDonald’s All-American. Now he’s an NBA Draft lottery pick. That says a lot about him and a lot about John Calipari and Kentucky.
Ohio State coach Chris Holtmann is donating $50,000 to the Kentucky United for Tornado Relief Telethon, John Calipari confirmed on Finebaum. Holtmann is a Nicholasville, Ky. native.
Hey
@espn
, if you're going to tell people to watch the start of the Kentucky game on your app, you might want to make it available on your app.

Oscar Tshiebwe on Auburn: "I hope we match up with them again in the SEC Tournament when everybody is healthy and ready to go."
Why?
"Because I don't think they are better than us, in my opinion. I think we're going to beat them. I want to see them again."
Kentucky intentionally takes a delay of game penalty to start the game, leaving the left guard spot open in honor of John Schlarman. Vandy declined. Powerful moment.
Per UK, John and Ellen Calipari just pledged $50,000 to flood relief in Eastern Kentucky as part of today's fundraising efforts with the American Red Cross.
Will Levis, who lost his voice:
"A year ago this time I was in a pretty dark place. I looking for answer from God...Ironically enough those feelings settled in after I got yanked in the Iowa game…It came together and I’m so glad it ended the way it did."
Vince Marrow tells KSR the celebrations began right after the Citrus Bowl ended: “The coaches went into the locker room and had a couple of Kool-Aids.” 😂
Kyra Elzy said one of her players’ family members found John Calipari’s lucky white gold Rolex, so she was able to get it back to him.
"It’s his lucky watch and he needs it so they can win the SEC Tournament as well."

Charles Barkley on CBS just now talking Kentucky: “At some point, they’ve got to make a deep run. They can’t keep getting upset. I mean, they’re the University of Kentucky. They’re one of the greatest programs in history and Cal is a terrific coach and a good friend. But at some…
Davion Mintz on his second season in Lexington: "I’ve seen what the heart of this place is...[Coming to Kentucky was the] best decision of my life, once again."
Some sad news from John Calipari tonight. He told fans during his postgame radio chat that he and his wife Ellen had to say goodbye to their dog McGruff, who had cancer. "He hung on and he didn't want to leave and we didn't want him to leave."
Rest in Peace, sweet McGruff. 🐾
What sucks about right now is Mark Pope doesn't deserve any of the current backlash. He's great and 100% ready to tackle his dream job with unmatched energy.
I get the frustration though. Just 4 days into the search and with some big names still out there, it feels too soon.
Oscar Tshiebwe: "It's sad because I've been wanting this moment for a long time...I even told my teammates, this is not going to be easy for us. If we're not willing to fight, any team in March Madness -- they make it that for a reason. I did the best I could. It just happens."
TyTy Washington on the

in the crowd: "It was crazy. It was crazy. When we first came out and you see nothing but blue shirts. Whenever I hear that 'Go Big Blue' chant, it’s just unreal."
Between this and popping his jersey at halftime, Edwards talked a LOT tonight. You can tell how much he and Georgia wanted it, which makes Kentucky’s win even more impressive.

Calipari said his dad Vince was in the locker room after the game.
"My dad is 90, had his knee operated on, that's the first game he's seen in 5 years."
I don’t even live in Kentucky anymore (except on lake weekends), but Andy Beshear has been super impressive through all of this. Glad to see it.

During his postgame interview, Lynn Bowden made it a point to thank the fans who stayed in the stands at Kroger Field in the rain. Very cool moment from a kid who clearly loves this program.
Great to see Chris Rodriguez supporting his teammates from home as he waits to be cleared by the NCAA. Can't wait to see how much stronger this Kentucky team will be with him back on the sideline.

Said this last night and I’ll say it again: no one will embrace this job more than Mark Pope. He is a Wildcat through and through, super smart, runs a fun style, and I support him.
But Mitch Barnhart did him no favors with the timing. To move on this so swiftly when other big…
Five-star OT Kiyaunta Goodwin says he will stick with his commitment to KENTUCKY, picking the Cats over Michigan State. "I'm staying home and I'm playing football at the University of Kentucky."
