Spencer Lee did for Iowa Wrestling a lot of what Caitlin Clark is doing now for WBB. Iowa Wrestling has always kind of had its own fanbase somewhat separate from mainstream sports. He made every non wrestling fan at the very least a casual fan. He grew the game.

Ike Boettger has come to mind recently. That still may be the most amazing developmental story of the Ferentz tenure. A 220 pound kid that played all the skill positions in HS became a collegiate guard and has now made a nice little NFL career out of it. Just incredible still.
