Last month Conservative councillors directed Harrow Council to oppose the Labour government’s plans to close Mount Vernon’s Urgent Care Unit. This Unit is an important healthcare facility for Harrow residents. Sadly Labour councillors refused to stand with local residents.

Harrow's Conservative Council is introducing tough new restrictions to stop dangerous double parking and excessive moped parking in Rayners Lane town centre. Local Conservatives, Cllr Thaya Idaikkadar and Prashant Kumar, have been working to solve these issues for many months.

At a Council meeting last week, numerous Conservative councillors made clear our determination to oppose the closure of Harrow Police Station’s front desk. But disappointingly, local Labour councillors did not support us and largely remained silent throughout the debate.

As part of our £42 million investment in Harrow's roads and footpaths, we will be renewing 38 walkways this year. We have already resurfaced 103 footpaths since May 2022, which means by April 2026 we will have replaced 141 paths.

We have added 200 extra bookable slots per day at the Recycling Centre. This means that there will now be over 1,200 more bookable slots per week. We are making it easier and more accessible for residents to dispose of waste and recycle.

Roads in #Pinner being resurfaced this month as part of our massive ongoing programme throughout the Borough
We are ramping up our road repairs across Harrow. Since April, we have repaired over 2,000 road defects, like potholes and cracks. We are investing a record £42 million into Harrow's Highways over the next three years to bring them up to a good standard.

The results are in and a record 8 Harrow Parks have received the prestigious Green Flag award. Harrow previously had 6 Green Flag Parks but now the Chandos Recreation Ground and Hatch End's Riverside Park received the award for the first time this year.
