New study: each "1°C increase in global temperature leads to a 12% decline in world GDP." Society loses more than $1,000 for every ton of CO2 emitted. Climate inaction is bankrupting us. No time to wait. #ActOnClimate

The govt promised to fix broken enviro laws, but have postponed doing so indefinitely. Shockingly, the impact climate change has on nature isn't included 🤯 We need environmental laws that actually protect the people & places we love. https://t.co/HQgxMxFhtX

It is wildly inappropriate for @PeterDutton_MP to even suggest burning fossil fuels like gas into 2040. World scientists and @IEA say there must be no new fossil fuels in order to keep global temps in line w the Paris Agreement. Dutton’s plans would be an international disgrace.

We feel a deep sadness and disappointment at today's result. To First Nations people, this moment is incredibly hurtful. You might not have the space to work out what this means for us right now, and that's ok. We'll try to work it out together. We fight on.
