We find that RNA forms more stable coacervates with peptides as short as di- and tripeptides, but DNA makes coacervates more fluid (and more prone to host functional RNA)! Thanks to all collaborators who made all this possible!!! @rcollepardo @OFlahertyLab @rogerrubio 😊

Curious about ubiquitous interactions between modern nucleic acids and proteins, we show they likely emerged early on in the evolutionary timeline due to the seemingly inevitability of nucleic acids and peptides to co-localise via coacervation!
